The Ten Essential Shared Capabilities (ESC) project was established by the NIMHE National Workforce Programme. The ESC descriptions lay out the capabilities that all staff working in mental health services should achieve as a minimum part of core curricula of all training programmes.
The team at MH2aSC have had the responsibility to maintain the ESC programme and develop approaches to encourage the integration of the essential capabilities into a range of other resources.
